After 17 seasons, the Falcons decided to change their uniforms. They were unveiled/leaked Wednesday a week ahead of schedule.
“We took a fan-first approach in gathering feedback and design input and have modernized the look of our team and our brand,” team president Rich McKay said.
The helmets are a black matte color with a larger logo and the facemask is now silver.
The primary home uniform is black with white numerals trimmed with red on the right hand side and a red script ATL above the front numerals. A red stripe goes down the side of the jersey to the end of the pants which can be either black or white in color. The nameplate letters are white.
The away uniform is white with black numerals trimmed with red on the right hand side and a red script ATL above the front numerals. A red stripe goes down the side of the jersey to the end of the pants which can be either red, black,or white in color. The red pants have a black stripe going down the side. The nameplate letters are black.
The alternate uniform is a red jersey with white numerals trimmed in black on the right hand side and a white ATL script in above the front numerals. The red jersey blends into the black pants with a red stripe going down the pants. The nameplate letters are white.
The team logo is on the sleeve of each jersey, including the throwback uniform remains the same as it did previously.
What I Like: I do like the helmet and the red pants for the away uniform.I also like the stripe going down the side of the uniform and the ATL on the jersey.
What I Don’t Like: The font on the numerals and the red uniform blending into the black. The Atlanta Hawks of the mid-90s called and want their uniforms back.
They’re OK!
