At lunch on Thursday I decided to stop by the Carl’s Jr. by my work to try the new Beer Cheese Bacon Burger. These guys always seem to have a new and interesting burger (excluding of course the California Classic which is basically their version of In N Out’s Double Double) and I thought I’d give it a try.
If you’ve ever wanted your burger to have the taste of beer made by Anheuser-Busch, then you’re in for a treat. The grass-fed beef burger, served on a brioche bun, is smothered in beer cheese sauce and has lettuce, carmelized onions, swiss cheese, and of course bacon. The burger can also be bought as a single burger,a double burger,or a thickburger.
When it first came out I was hesitant to purchase one because I’m not a drinker and the taste of alcohol is not one that my palete agrees with, but I finally gave it a try and I do think it’s pretty good. Sure, the taste of beer is there and it does linger for a while, but overall it is pretty tasty.
If cost is an issue, though,it may not be for you. The single starts at $5.59, the double is $6.89 and the thickburger is over $8. If you get it in a combo, expect it to be more. Is it worth the price? Eh,kinda, but it is a tasty burger that is another home run for Carl’s Jr.
Thumbs Up!
