OK, we had a week off, but now we’re back with your questions…
Is it just me, or have Wendy’s commercials been awfully bad in recent years?
Yeah, they have been pretty bad. If there was a way we could bring back Dave Thomas, I would do it, he was brilliant in those commercials back in the day, and now it just seems like they’re trying too hard. Have a look:
Do you have a favorite number? If so, why?
I do. My favorite number is 31. I kinda like it because it’s an odd number and I’ve always been kind of an odd person. Many favorite players of mine including Robb Nen and Scot Pollard have worn that number. Also,I live in California, the 31st State!
What do you think of 3 perfect games happening within 4 weeks of each other? (Well one was ruined due to a botched call. But I’ll call it a perfect game anyway)
What a crazy year for that to happen. This is clearly the year of the pitcher. That’s just all there is to it, and how about Roy Halladay? This guy has two this season alone. I kind of questioned the Phillies getting rid of Cliff Lee for him, but now I know why they got him, it’s because he is just that stellar and turned out to be the ace they needed to get them through October. He’s your Cy Young winner this year by a mile in the NL!
Why does 106.5 The Buzz, a station that supposedly plays ’90s music play music from the mid-to-late ’80s?
I am not sure of that one. I guess they are running out of music from the 1990s. I don’t think they are trying hard enough to find more 1990s music, though, I think it’s a cop out!
How many languages can you speak?
Sadly, only one–English. I wish I could speak another language, though. I do,however, like to leave Spanish postings on Facebook from time to time so people can take time and translate what I write.
Through five weeks, what NFL (team) has been the most disappointing?
It’s the 49ers. Many people, myself included, chose them to win the NFC West because of how weak it is. Five weeks later, the 49ers are without a win. They don’t have a good quarterback, every time it seems like they break through to win, something goes wrong like Nate Clements not falling on the ball against Atlanta to seal it, plays like that.
Their team president came out and said that at 0-5, they will win the division. I understand he’s confident and positive about his team, but when your team is 0-for-5 in wins on the year, it’s probably not the best thing to say. Try winning some games first, Jed, because right now, your team’s most likely winning the first overall pick in the 2011 draft, not an NFC West title.
When’s the last time you went to a drive in movie? What was playing?
The last time I am aware of that I went to was in 1997 when we went to see Good Burger and George of the Jungle as a double feature.
If you were able to ask the two candidates running for governor a question during the debates, what would you have asked?
I would asked them what you could do to lower the cost of living in California. I know many people who have left the state and moved elsewhere because they can’t afford to live her anymore, and I know others who are contemplating leaving. I enjoy living here in California, I have all my life and would love to as long as possible, but it costs too much. Everything is too damn expensive. I wish there was a way to lower the cost of that.
What’s your favorite fruit?
I am a big tomato person. It’s kinda odd, though because most of the people in my immediate family hate tomatoes. I,however love them and if you take them out of your hamburger, I will gladly take them.
What’s your prediction for the NLCS ?
I like the Giants to win in 7. I think this team actually matches up pretty good with the Phillies pitching-wise. As far as the hitting, the edge goes to Philadelphia. I think the Giants can keep this thing going, though. This has been a magical season that I’m not ready to see end.
OK, that’s all for this week, if you have any questions for me, all you have to do is send to this site:
We’ll see you next time!
