I will admit,I was on the fence about whether or not I should try these. I mean, the concept was a little bit weird. But the more I thought about trying them, the more I wanted to. So I did. Not only did I enjoy them, but I wondered why in the world Taco Bell didn’t do this years ago. This is a fantastic idea whose time has come.
Don’t get me wrong,I enjoy the regular tacos and the soft tacos and many other great Taco Bell items, but this item which is so outside the box is one of the reasons why so many people love Taco Bell in the first place. Not since the Black Jack Taco in 2009 (an item I hope returns someday, that thing was awesome!) have I kept going back for Taco Bell for just that one thing.
The only thing that bugs me about the Doritos Locos Tacos are the taco shaped cardboard holder that prevents the Dorito residue from getting on your hands. In my view, part of the fun of eating Doritos or Doritos related products is getting the residue on your fingers/ hands. What else am I gonna lick off my fingers?
They come in two varieties: Regular and Taco Supreme. The regular tacos are $1.29 and the supreme tacos are $1.69. Prices may vary per region and location.
Definitely a Thumbs Up!
