Twenty Things You Don’t Know About Me (Our 600th Entry)

600thEntry

This is this site’s 600th entry and I thought I’d celebrate by posting 20 things you don’t know about me (or maybe you do). Here we go!

VansOldSkool1. I Have Way Too Many Shoes

I admit it, I probably have more shoes than some women, but I don’t really care. I’ve stated it before and will again-shoes matter when it comes to what you’re wearing, for both men and women. You could be wearing the grestest outfit you’ve ever put on,but if you’re wearing the wrong shoes, it could all go wrong. I have close to 30 pairs of shoes and am more than likely not done.

Thanksgiving2. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday

I love Turkey Day! It’s combines three of my favorite things-Food,family,and of course football! I love having the turkey on the usual holiday and leftover turkey sandwiches afterwards. You can’t beat that!

3. I like to dress up!TJSuit

As much as I enjoy sporting a jersey and a pair of sneakers, I really love dressing up in a suit and going somewhere. I feel that if you look good, you’ll feel good, too. Even if the clothes are sometimes uncomfortable.

iphone5s4. I’m an iPhone guy

Sorry,Galaxy lovers, but I prefer the iPhone much more. I currently have the iPhone 5S and enjoy it very much. Also,I already have a laptop so a Galaxy for me isn’t really necessary.

TJ135. Why I Shave My Head

I’ve sported the bald look since the day after Thanksgiving in 2002. Why? I’ve been going bald since the age of 20 and I figured it’s going to disappear anyways, I’ll just eliminate having hair. Thirteen years later,I haven’t look back.

6. I’ve only left California twiceOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Yep,it’s true. In 33 years of life,I have only left the Golden State twice. Once in 2000 to Idaho and again last summer to Nevada to visit a dear friend of mine and her new baby. I’d like to go outside California a little bit more in the years to come. I’m just really busy!

Lobster7. I am afraid of lobsters

It’s true, I’m terrified of lobsters. My fear goes back to my time as a checker at Save Mart where we had a live Maine lobster tank in the seafood department. When purchased, they would be carried in a little box and would crawl around in them and it freaked me out. To this day, that has not changed.

8. Toy Story is my favorite movieToyStory

Yep,it’s true. Toy Story has become my favorite movie and I like all three of the movies. So much so that I have Woody and Buzz Lightyear Mickey Mouse ears from Disneyland. I also have a Toy Story case for my iPhone!

baybridge9. I hate driving over bridges

While I’m not exactly afraid of driving over bridges, I am not exactly fond of having to do so. While I’m fine with most local bridges, the ones in the Bay Area are scary to drive on. I don’t know if I will ever like driving over them, but I’m trying.

10. My favorite sports movie is Caddyshackcaddyshack

I love sports movies and none come any better or funnier than Caddyshack. The cast was great and even the gopher was hilarious. There isn’t a movie quite like it if you ask me.

Snickerdoodles11. I love snickerdoodle cookies

This is by far my favorite cookie, it’s got cinnamon and sugar and it’s delicious. What more do you need?

12. I collect Disney pinsTicketPins

When I went to Disneyland last year,I started buying all these Disney pins and the obsession continues. I have about 25 or so pins, including the entire ticket series (A,B,C,D and E),and have duplicates of A & B which I will be trading when I head down there again a week from tomorrow. If you’re there and see me and I haven’t traded them yet, let’s talk!

Calscreamin13. I love rollercoasters!

I’ve always loved riding rollercoasters (well, most of them!). I really like the ones that go really fast right off the bat, like California Screamin’ at Disney’s California Adventure. There isn’t much arm twisting to get me on a rollercoaster. And if you’re afraid, go on one with me and I’ll make sure you’re alright.

14. Even though I’m quite fond of the place,I’ve only been to Disneyland twiceDisneyland14

I have only gone to Disneyland two times, but a third trip is coming as I said before. I went there on my 32nd birthday last February and had so much fun. Everyone was so wonderful to me that weekend and it really is a special and happy place. If you’re ever looking for a place to spend your birthday, this is my first suggestion.

Walnut Kernels15. I have an allergy to uncooked nuts

I didn’t realize it until this past winter when shelling walnuts with my old youth group and just me being around them and touching them caused me to have a dry, scratchy throat that lasted for several days. I still can eat cooked nuts, just not raw.

16. My first job was at Wendy’swendys

I worked there when I was 18 years old. I was the drive-thru cashier from 6pm-2am (sometime later, sometimes earlier) at the Wendy’s by my house. I was there for seven months. The Wendy’s is now a bank and the drive-thru I worked in is now a drive-up ATM.

jerry_seinfeld117. My favorite show of all-time is Seinfeld

True story, I love Seinfeld! It is probably the most interesting show I’ve ever watched. There wasn’t anything like it on television before and I don’t think there’s been anything since. Anything that original is fantastic to me and not to mention it was hilarious!

18. My favorite show right now is Modern FamilyModernfamily

I love, love, love Modern Family! It took me a while to get into the show, but I am glad I did because it is a very funny show. The whole cast is great and the writing on the show is top notch. If you haven’t seen it,you should, you’ll laugh your ass off!

19. I’m the only person in my immediate family without a tattoo

Yep, out of all of my family members, I’m inkless. I am not very fond of needles and to be honest, I don’t know if I’ll ever get one. My father was the other person without one before he passed away in January.

20. I hope to have a family of my own someday

It’s probably the one thing I want to do but haven’t been able to do just yet,but I know that things happen for a reason and I know that this will one day happen for me. I just have to be patient and be willing to let that happen.

There you have it! Here’s to 600 more!
