Things Everybody Else Loves That I Hate-Rain

Let’s get one thing straight: I live in California where the majority of us enjoy seeing sunshine. Most of the year, it’s in endless supply and it’s glorious. However, it’s the times of the year where it rains five, six, even seven days in a row that I absolutely loathe. It should not be raining this much so fast. Let’s leave that stuff for Washington and Oregon, they seem to be used to it and enjoy it.

It’s fine if it’s maybe a couple of days where it rains and then we get a break from it for a little bit,but when it’s nothing but storms for like half a month non-stop, it sucks. I don’t know how people can like or even stomach this weather. It is miserable. Not only can you not do anything outdoors when it’s raining, but it’s dangerous to be in it and it is also downright depressing. I’m always in the worst moods when it’s either miserably not,but most notably when it’s miserably wet,and I hate getting wet. Being a person with glasses on in the rain is a pain in the ass. I often have to take mine off so they don’t get wet because wet glasses are no fun at all. It makes me wish I had contacts, something I don’t want (more power to you if you have them, I just look ugly without glasses).

I also hate when it washes out anything fun you had planned to do. I remember a few field trips being canceled in elementary school because of inclement weather and it was such a bummer because field trips in school were the best. Especially the ones that took place outdoors.

Anyways, you may enjoy the constant storms we’ve been getting lately, but not me. I got Transitions lenses in my new glasses for a reason, kids, and it wasn’t so I could store them in a case while I walked through the parking lot at work.

  1. I agree; rain is necessary for a lot of things, but not for a straight week – glad we don’t live in Seattle 😉 Great post and I look forward to sharing more with you:)
