Hello Everyone,

This is the first time we’ve done this list as the newest addition to our end of the year lists. We had a lot happen this year and many of those things were bizarre,so bizarre that they made this list,The Most Bizarre Things About 2015! Here we go!

10. Hoverboards catching fire

One of the hottest items of the season inspired by the movie “Back to the Future 2” has become one of the most dangerous toys on the market.

The hoverboard has been catching fire,not necessarily in sales,but in general. The cause of the fires has been difficulties wiith their lithium-ion batteries and some of the batteries being overcharged.
It’s pretty bizarre in a sense because you don’t expect a toy to catch fire like these have. These babies are blowing up faster than a tire on a Ford Explorer. If I had a child and they wanted one of these,chances are they would not get one solely because of the danger factor behind them. This is just an accident waiting to happen!

9. Lamar Odom

I gotta say that the entire incident regarding Lamar Odom a couple of months ago was pretty bizarre.

On Oct. 13, Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and was in a coma and placed on life support. He did regain consciousness but had kidney failure and suffered several strokes. Not only that,but his estranged wife,Khloe Kardashian,had called off their divorce and the two have reconciled.

It was bizarre to me because of where Odom was when this happened and the state of his life at that point and then all of sudden he almost dies and gets his wife back? What universe is this?

8. The white and gold/blue and black dress

Remember this? Earlier this year we had the picture of the dress that was either white and gold to some or blue and black to others. This was a big deal for like a week or two in this country,everyone was talking about it because everyone saw it differently.

I myself saw it originally as white and gold,but later on the same day I first saw it it was blue and black and wasn’t able to see it as white and gold again until it was brought up on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah in their last episode before their winter break.

It was bizarre because of how crazy everyone was when it came to what color it was. Guess what? You’re both right!

7. The Massachusetts Colander lady

Religious freedom,sort of,won in Massachusetts last month when Lindsey Miller was granted the right to wear a colander on her head in her drivers license photo because of religious purposes.

Miller is a follower of The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and was initially denied the right to wear the colander on her head. It was later approved by the Massachusetts RMV because it did not interfere with the facial image policy. This did piss a lot of people off because of some DMV policies in other states having other standards and policies,such as not being able to wear your eyeglasses in your photo even if you need them to drive.

“An applicant’s facial features must be visible,including the eyes, nose, mouth, and cheeks,” the policy states.

This was bizarre to me because of how bizarre those kinds of people are, in fact,you might also classify them as unemployed and single. But more than that,it was kind of hilarious to me and to a point,I’m happy for her because she found a loophole in the system and she won. Now she and all her weird Pastafarian followers can look like dopes with colanders on their heads. 

6. The Kylie Jenner lip challenge

Just as bizarre as Caitlyn Jenner (wait for it) is what these horrible kids are doing to emulate her daughter.

What they did was took the Kylie Jenner lip challenge. Now,this is far from anything like the Pepsi Challenge,in fact the Pepsi Challenge is probably safer and better for your health. This insane challenge involves sucking on your dad’s favorite shot glass as hard as you can for a long period of time and it plumps out your lips to look like Jenner’s.

The only problem with that is that it bruises your lips and severs blood vessels and in some instances could cause permanent damage.

This was bizarre to me because we see so many of these stupid challenges that not only kids do,but adults too and this one in particular just looks creepy. The lips results on some of these kids make them look freakish and deformed. Good lord!

5. Rachel Dolezal

If this wasn’t as bizarre enough of a year,we had Rachel Dolezal,a woman who was the head of the NAACP chapter in Spokane,Wash. and is and has been passing herself off as a black person. She was forced to resign earlier this summer when her birth parents came out to say that she was born white and is disguising herself as a black woman. Dolezal continued to identify herself as a black woman until last month when she admitted to being born as a white woman.

The whole thing is and was bizarre to me because in my view Dolezal wasn’t proud at all of who she was as a white woman and honestly going as far as changing your identity as far as race goes for acceptance is going quite far if you ask me. I understand her wanting to stand up for black causes and their civil rights,especially through all of the unrest we have now in this country, but she could have easily been the same person and the same voice for these people as a white woman.

4. Jason Pierre-Paul and C.J. Wilson fireworks

Continued proof that NFL players aren’t great at making off-the-field choices is the separate fireworks incidents involving current New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back C.J. Wilson on Jul. 4. If the SportsTalk916 guys were doing their “Are You Kidding Me?”segment back then, this for sure would’ve made it.

Pierre-Paul ended up losing his right index finger after a firecracker blew up in his hand. He has since returned to the Giants. Wilson lost two fingers and is on injured reserve in Tampa Bay and his football future looks doubtful.

It was not only bizarre, but also sad and funny all at once. Memes were made at Pierre-Paul’s expense and even I named one of my fantasy teams JPP Fireworks Co. in his (dis)honor. Not only that,but if your profession requires you to make good use of your hands,don’t handle fireworks. Period.

3. Jared Fogle

Here’s a guy that for years and years was a guy America really liked. Jared Fogle, the man who lost a ton of weight by eating at Subway, was found to have child pornography in his Indiana home and was found to have paid adult prostitutes to find him young children to prey on (both male and female). He was found guilty and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

It was bizarre in that you wouldn’t have suspected Fogle to be the kind of guy to do something like this. He seemed like a really good guy and when this story first came out,you didn’t want to believe this was actually happening to him,but unfortunately it did and his star crashed fast. Now,we’ve just got a bunch of footlong jokes to tell about him regarding prison,that’s always fun!

2. Caitlyn Jenner

The whole Bruce Jenner becoming Caitlyn Jenner fiasco was bizarre to an extent for me,and when I say to an extent,I mean when this was announced I wasn’t surprised he was becoming a woman because I had a feeling he was going this route for a couple of years now. What was bizarre was Caitlyn being given the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs this summer over more deserving athletes such as Lauren Hill who still played college basketball until she passed away from cancer.

Also bizarre is the outright hate that people have for Jenner now that he has become a she. I think a lot of it has to do with the Kardashian association,I think some of lot of it has to do with comments she has made about what she feels is the hardest part of being a woman,which she said was “figuring out what to wear”. She also has an odd stance on gay marriage,something she’s against despite still being attracted to woman,which would make her gay. I get that her being a Republican is a carryover from being Bruce Jenner,but it doesn’t make sense to still believe something like that when you yourself have changed your gender so to speak.

I’m not against transgender people at all,I just can’t stand this one. Oh,and did I mention that she was named as Barbara Walters’ Most Fascinating Person of 2015? I find her far from fascinating and I don’t know of many people who don’t feel the same way I do.

1. Donald Trump’s presidential campaign

The most bizarre thing to happen this year by far and by a mile is Donald Trump’s run for President. As I mentioned in our Things That Need to Go in 2016 list,I didn’t think his campaign would last very long and was quite a big joke. Unfortunately,the joke was on all of us as his campaign has been a success even though his only ideas are to build a wall between us and Mexico, kick out all the Muslims,and the death penalty for anyone who kills a cop. Other than that,he’s got no real plan as far as real issues Americans care about like healthcare,education,and employment.

Beyond that,he’s had nothing positive to say about anyone,he’s an asshole and a jerk to many and the people who want this guy to be President have had the worst brought out in them. Reading comments on social media from his followers is like reading something racist,disgusting,and vile. Yes, it usually happens in every election,but people have become vicious and honestly,I want nothing to do with you if you want this man as President.

It’s bizarre to me because I can’t believe how many people are slurping this guy and actually are buying what he’s saying. But there is that saying “Tell us how you really feel” and people are doing it and they’re absolutely terrible.
